CFUW West Vancouver encourages members to bring about change by advocating for prevention of violence against women, Indigenous peoples and reconciliation, long-term care and elder rights, early learning and child care, employment and pay equity, and the environment and climate change. Our members meet with local MPs and MLAs to advocate on these issues. We hold public events to raise awareness and promote personal actions. We participate in local interest groups and national study groups to increase our personal knowledge of the issues.
At a global level, CFUW also works for the adoption and implementation of international agreements that will protect and benefit all women and girls.
CFUW’s current national policy priorities align in the following categories: Equity & Social Justice, Education, and Safe & Healthy Communities.
